Today's mobile device platform has come to a place where we always see wars over Android and iOS system that we always make memes over Apple devices that once break your heart will break right.

Now here is the thing where manufactures have played a very good game with software and hardware perspective. Let's have a look over these past user experiences these days, and please don’t talk about or ask me about bezels trend.

Now let's begin.

Apple iOS/Mac and iPads = Android

Key features which was introduced by either Apple or Google and now it is being copied by the opposing company and other manufactures :

1. Gesture navigation: This was first introduced by Apple with iPhone X in 2017 in which you use the gestures to switch between apps. Later it was then introduced in Android 9 which was completely half baked gesture system except for OnePlus and Samsung smartphones which had way too better gesture implementation back in Android 9 now with Android 10, gesture navigation is fully baked.

2. App gallery: most of you guys know that there is app gallery in android even the system of android was started, now with iOS 14 you can now have the app gallery feature in the iPhones

3. The dynamic wallpaper was introduced in Samsung with Galaxy S10 series, now every phone has dynamic wallpaper system. This change of wallpaper every time you unlock your phone or PC was introduced way back in 2009 by Microsoft in Windows 7. Now this feature is common in every device, irrespective of the company which made the device.

4. Dual Bluetooth audio feature was first introduced with Samsung Galaxy S8 and then in Galaxy S9. Today, we can see this feature even in iOS devices.

5. Screen Recording: Earlier, we had to use third party screen recording stuff, now we have the full inbuilt screen recording feature baked in iOS 14 and Android 11. Samsung and OnePlus added this to their devices with Android 10.

6. One more feature which we must talk about is swipe typing. This feature was there in Android for a very long time, which is now in iOS 13.

7. Cursor control: Introduced in iOS this feature does a simple job, hold on space key to launch cursor control in Android and iOS. Samsung added this with One UI 2.0 and later it was implemented by companies like OnePlus.

8. Wireless charging system was first introduced with Nokia, later Samsung adopted it and then Apple joined as well as other major companies adopted it.

9. IP Rating: Sony did this with Xperia Z and then it came the Samsung and then iPhone adopted it.

10. Animation: iOS have the best animations and it is no secret that Google cleanly copied it and implemented in Android 10.

11. Airdrop: iOS introduced Airdrop, a seamless file transfer system and then Samsung added Quick Share, and now Google is also doing the same with Android 11 with the name of Nearby Share.

12. Ecosystem: Earlier, we didn't have a proper ecosystem with Android, but now, Android ecosystem is more refined than our Apple ecosystem.

13. Wireless device control: Introduced by Apple, every large Android company now has it.

14. Watches: Titan was the first company to introduce smartwatches, but now, Samsung and Apple has the most advanced smartwatches.

15. No 3.5 mm audio jack: Removed by Apple with the release of iPhone 7, most of the companies are heading towards the removal of the 3.5 mm audio jack, both a good and a bad move.

16. Type C based laptops, first launched by Google in Chromebooks and then was also implemented by Apple in MacBooks.

17. Haptics: Apple added haptics in their iPhones and now every Android company is doing it.

More and more feature are coming to Android and iOS which are making the gap between Android and iOS gradually smaller.
