charging and battery the most question things about

Updated: Jul 10, 2020

Fast charging is the charging where the phone/ laptop charger faster than the normal rate you guys already know this obvious point I don’t think you need the explain but if you don’t know what is and why you need this then here is the details

Well the fast charging the phenomenon where the phone/laptop charges beyond the normal rate lets say that you want to charge your phone and you are in hurry or forget to keep your phone in charging stand or forget to plug in the night then the fast charging is used

Well let's take a look at the chart

the condition when phone battery is dead and you have very huge battery pack lets say 6000 or 4000 mah and your charger is at 10 to 25w

Then here is the fast charging is used here the speed varies when your battery starts filling the juice

Here is the chart which explains the concept of fast charging

Battery level between 0 to 50b(some manufactures can claim up to 60 per cent or 70 per cent but be sceptical about this generally it's 0 to 50 ) - 15w charging speed or 25w or 45w depending upon how poor brick is designed

Speed reduced after 50 per cent it will drop around 9 to 15 watts again depends upon power brick

After 50 to 60 or 70 per cent speed drops from 15 or 25w to 7.5 or lower

in 70 to 80% speed drops from 7.5 w to 5 or 6w

After 80 per cent speed again drops to 5w or lower

In 90 per cent speed drastically drops to 1 to 3w or below

in 95 per cent speed is 2w and constant to 100 per cent

So if you have the fast charging capability it can only work till 50 percentage after that it effectively reduces and reduces this will happen to liquid-based batteries like lithium-ion or polymer battery in graphene batteries this won’t affect the charging speed will be constant to 100 per cent as it is solid-state battery unlike the liquid-based batter which have sacrifices and age problem if you charging it from 0

what are the advantages of fast charging

1 less time consuming by fast charging it save lots of time that you do it on the work phone

2 more productivity

3 you don’t have to wait so much long for the battery to be charged

4 convenient

Disadvantages

1 battery wear of rapidly no matter how it is convenient the battery will take the damage

2 heat the more the battery charges rapidly the more the problem of heat it the more the damage the phone’s battery will take

3 rapid charing is not always good

Wireless charging method

The most convenient method of charging the phone mostly found on the flagships phone, well what is about the wireless charging method, I love this method of charging. being the owner of the flagship this is the wonder-full feature that I enjoy the most the feature that every phone should have it not only flagship but mid-range phones as well,

what is wireless charging

The most common method about the wireless charging is the two coils contact each other that is electromagnetic coils which are embedded inside the phone that is one is sender coil(which is inside the wireless charging pad) and another one is receiver coil( which is inside the phone ) when both come to contact the electricity is generated by the electromagnetic field thus it works like for more details you can read the Nikola tesla who is the father of invention of alternating current which is now being applied in the flagship phones right now

What are the advantages

1 no hassle for wires this method allows user to just pop the phone on the charging pad and boom the charging happens automatically

2 protects the USB port from being harmed or wear off in time

3 even if your phone is wet or the USB port is not working the wireless charging will help here

4 increases the durability of the phone

5 cooled off while charging the phone the biggest advantage of the wireless charging that it has cooling fans inbuilt that allows the phone to cool down when it is charging

6 when the phone is hot or has the electric outrage the charging pad automatically stops

7 follows the safety measure

8 protects battery wear off

9 protects against shock and battery blasts

Disadvantages

1 despite convincing factor the problem with wireless charging is the lack of mobility you cannot move the phone while charging it once you move the phone will not able charge

2 some times the outrage becomes frustrating

3 slower charger rates the biggest problem that it has a slower charging rate

4 alignment problem if you don’t align the phone and charger it won’t able to the charger properly

5 expensive replacement its too much expensive to replace the chargers

Wired charging

The wired charging is the most commonly used charging method which is found everywhere without an issue that connects the charging pin and ready to charge any time

This is the most traditional way of charging a phone simply connect and go we call is as Direct charging method unlike the wireless charging method which is based on alternative current principle

Advantages

1 convenient and fastest method of charging

2 inexpensive replacement easily available everywhere

3 constant current flow unlike wireless charging

4 found everywhere in the house

Disadvantages

1 damages the battery

2 by using fast charging method the battery wear of rapidly

3 once the USB port is damaged you need to replace the port

4 voltage outrage can overload the phone

5 having the risk of phone blasting if there are unofficial cables and charging bricks

Battery care most of the people ask that what is the best way of caring a battery pack

Well here is the way

1 charge the battery between 40 to 80 but this rule only applies when you are not using the phone

2 do not let the battery die to 20 per cent the best way

3 if you charge it from 0 then it will count one cycle and if you continue this process then it will last for 500 cycles

4 avoid direct sunlight charging or even extreme temperatures like cold or hot that is 10 to 40 degrees is ok for the battery

5 frequent top-up is the best idea to avoid cycling of the battery

6 most the users are confused regarding the case charging well it's not too afraid about most you’re are also too much talk about not using covers well it's not true use the cover however ever you like it won’t affect the phone while charging or playing games thus won’t affect the performance and the battery life at all most of the YouTuber only talk about the looks and feel and design but they don’t know the reality of normal users

7 if you worry about overcharging then there is no worry about the overcharging modern smartphone are smart enough to cut the power after battery is fully charged, but if you are worried about overcharging then simple rule of thumb is that dont charge the phone overnight leave the phone unplugged in the night time or charge the phone before going to sleep and leave the phone unplugged in aeroplane mode the battery will drop 3 to per cent at most

7 avoid using the unofficial chargers and cables this might explode the battery
