What is cyberbullying? And why is it needed to stop it for good?
Cyber bullying is a way of bullying using electronic means and the internet.
In recent days, we are experiencing the bullying thing on the next level which is cyberbullying, this is a very hot topic, so I won’t target any creator. The war on the internet in which people are cursing each other for their contents on YouTube or any social media handles is a great example of cyberbullying.
This is what we know about the cyberbullying -- people use cuss words against each other to demotivate them and disrespect their content, which may lead to depression. Secondly, we, the audience are watching and consuming these contents and we are also encouraging them to fight each other on the internet, if we don’t we stop these for good, one way or the other it will lead to depression and other serious issues, so why just we don't stop these, why don't we just focus ourselves in better productivity like playing games, music, reading, etc. instead of bullying each other on the internet? And it's not your fault either, some platforms like TikTok and YouTube promote this matter. Whatever you say, but the truth is that creators are roasting each other for a long time, but this time it has gone too far, whenever I launch YouTube, I can only see the war over platforms, no matter how much you try to avoid it both platforms are giving us cringe contents, not only in YouTube, TikTok, but same goes for the Facebook and Instagram as well.
Now to the main question, WHY IS CYBERBULLYING NEEDED TO STOP FOR GOOD?
Depression. It is no new fact that bullying brings in depression, which is extremely harmful for people, especially children and teenagers.
Mind diversion. Cyberbullying can be seen as a fight between two communities, like the famous fight of YouTube vs TikTok, which has attracted millions of people in India and even abroad.
Cyberbullying changes the whole face of the internet. It makes internet a more unsafe place for children and teenagers. What we all must understand is that the internet is not made for these kinds of stuff.
What you can do to prevent cyberbullying.
1. Avoid watching content which promotes bullying, slang language or similar stuff.
2. If you are a victim of cyberbullying, stop using the specific app or service in which someone is bullying you. Contact the police and cyber safety officials.
3. Stop consuming hate speech and graphic violence content.
4. If someone is trying to bully you or to do something which is wrong, especially in case of girls, contact police and cyber safety authority, and better block that person and prevent him or her from reaching you.
And the main point of this post is that you should not be afraid if you are a victim of cyberbullying.
Make a place of peace and not of war.
